"Is 8 hours enough?" "Do we need more time?"
Wedding planning is way more than finding those perfect vendors...it's about time! It's your wedding day, you'll want every moment captured and I'm here to tell you, yes, we can get it all in 8 hours. Of course, I'd love to celebrate your special day with you and I will stay if you'd like. I've planned out an 8 hour wedding day for you below. The most important thing about timelines is give your photographer time! To do this, be. on. time. (as best as you can in a whirlwind of the day)
Details are an important part of the wedding day. They help to tell the whole story of the day and are great to use in your album to tie it all together! Your dress, flowers, jewelry and decor will for sure be beautiful so I'd love time to document them.
Bridal prep is always a fun time to capture you and your girls together having fun, doing the girly stuff, and see all that excitement for what's to come.
First looks have become much more common lately, for good reason! It gives you a chance to have an intimate moment together before all the excitement with everyone happens. It allows you to get all those jitters out so you can be in the moment during your ceremony.
Portraits, immediately following the first look allow us to get those beautiful, romantic images of you two looking fabulous right after getting ready.
Bridal party portraits are great to get done prior to the ceremony since afterwards it becomes a bit crazy to get everyone back together since everyone wants to go celebrate!
If the ceremony and reception are in the same place, after portraits I will go off and shoot your reception details while you hide away and get ready for your big moment.
Ceremony, pretty self explanatory...you get to announce your love for each other in front of all your friends and family!
Speaking of family, after the ceremony we'll catch all those important family portraits great for mom and dad and grandparents.
Next we'll do a few more just married portraits before I send you off to go enjoy your reception.
Your reception is a great time to relax and have fun with all those closest to you and maybe haven't seen in awhile. I'll get all those great fun moments.
Then your exit and off to your honeymoon! :) Whether you want to do a grand exit or end by jumping into a pool, it's up to.
Finally, here are a few approximately times you can plan for if this sample doesn't work for you:
Details & Prep: 1.5 hours
First Look & Portraits: 30 - 40 minutes
Bridal Party: 30-40 minutes
Family Formals: 30 minutes
Extra Portrait Time: As much time as you'll give me!
I hope this helps! And remember most importantly, give your photographer time and try to be on time as best you can. Things happen on a wedding day and that's understandable, just use this as a guide to help make your wedding planning just a bit easier!
P.S. Don't forget!
